Remember Me dev Dontnod and Square Enix collaborating on new digital game

Remember Me developer Dontnod Entertainment is collaborating with publisher Square Enix on a new game, a representative from Square Enix confirmed with Polygon today.

The game, in development at Dontnod's Paris-based studio, will be a digital title. According to developer, the game will be narrative-driven but with a spin on the genre. No further details on whether the game will be downloadable only or what platforms it will be released on are available.

"We're very excited to be working with Square Enix on our new game," CEO of Dontnod Oskar Guilbert said in a statement. "It's a twist on traditional story driven games and we can't wait to share more with you soon."

"I've known Oskar and some of the team at Dontnod for quite a while now, they're very talented so they've been on my list of studios I'd like to work with but we've never found the right game until now," added Lee Singleton, general manager and COO of Square Enix's London-based studio.

"We are not ready to announce the game details today but I can tell you I'm excited, this game feels refreshingly different from traditional story-driven games and you won't have to wait long before we share more details," he said.

Action adventure title Remember Me was Dontnod's first game. In January, it was reported that the studio had filed for bankruptcy. Guilbert was quick to dismiss the reports, stating the company was no longer in financial trouble, had begun work on new projects and had undergone judicial reorganization to "match these new needs."
